@KatieFischer1 that is fixed
Thank you for the fast fix!
I have 6 duplicate adults of cub scouts in my Pack. Sometimes one version of the adult is linked to one cub scout and the other to another scout (sibling). If I give you list of duplicate BSA IDs, is there a way you can make sure the links to their scouts are ok after merging?
@AlyciaWeinberger Yes, we should be able to fix. You probably just need to post the BSA member number of the adults with the issues. For example:
For adult 1:
BSA member number 1 / BSA member number 2
@JenniferOlinger @DonovanMcNeil
I have 5 duplicate adults and 1 incorrectly added adult:
Duplicates:
same adult but with Scoutbook IDs linked to different scouts: 14341681 / 14645155; keep and update 14341681 to be linked to both BSA ID 14381199 (as it is already) and sibling 14381193
same adult but with Scoutbook IDs linked to different scouts: 14404733 is linked to BSA ID 14465256 and 14521494 is linked to 13329094
adult 13796013 / 14522048 - one of those accounts is hopelessly messed up and Council could never fix it. The older one is the messed up one, so I presume that’s the lower number, though I’m not sure how to tell. The adult can’t access it and email is turned off.
adult 14688720/14521374 keep 14688720 as that’s the one with the correct email
adult 130598081 should not be linked to BSA ID 12549959. That scout’s parent has the same name but is a different person.
Good evening–I also need duplicate accounts combined: 14029245 (primary) and 109073547. Pack 13, Wiesbaden Germany (Transatlantic Council).
Many thanks!
@AlyciaWeinberger Most of the issues should be fixed.
I have switched the e-mail opt-out toggle back on.
For this parent, see if he can log in and update his name. His date of birth is also missing, but your council should be able to add it with their Registrar tools.
Your local council should be able to remove the incorrect parent connection.
@AdamDarrow Your issue is that you have 2 user names.
One is a user name (that is, not an e-mail address).
The other has Google sign in turned on.
Which one would you like to keep? We can request that the other one be retired.
Thanks! I have one more duplicate
IDs: 13116456 and 13082650. Parent wants to keep 13116456
Hello!
Also wanted to jump in with this request
I am listing the former as the registered leader account, if that matters.
A- 13712573 / 14198215
B- 13903958 / 13984950
C- 110038389 / 13527704
D- 14161147 / 14451748 (not registered leader)
Thanks for all your help doing this!
Please retire the one linked to the google sign-on. Many Thanks!!
13082650 / 13116456
I decided to set 13082650 as “primary”, because it has her full first name (not a nickname). There is a preferred name field that she can use to indicate her nickname.
She might want to log in at my.scouting and go to:
Menu → My Profile
and double-check her e-mail address and mailing address are correct there.
Both BSA member numbers are missing her date of birth (DOB). Your local council should be able to add her DOB.
I appreciate your help but I think that we should follow a parent’s preference when they have told us explicitly which account they want to keep. I need to make things as easy in the parents as possible. It’s hard enough to get them to log in for any reason.

Nicknames are the cause of many issues. It really isn’t much of a choice. The applications say full name.
@AlyciaWeinberger I kept the Scoutbook account that the parent indicated she wanted, and the parent will still log in the same way. The BSA member number is different, because of first name vs. nickname.
I’ve got another two-account adult. She ended up with two logins. When using her email address as her login, she has:
SB User ID: 10613698
BSA Member ID: 14403187
When using her email address minus @company.com, she has:
SB User ID: 2566601
BSA Member ID: 14403144
The second one is the one that is showing up as a registered leader for our pack. Can you merge her clone, and which login should she be using?
@ErinHack I have merged her Scoutbook accounts.
She should log in with the user name that is not her e-mail.
