Duplicate scoutbook account - merge request

@MHTroop511KDC I sent you a private message.

I have a parent with two Member IDs (135741218 & 137176525). Could I have these two merged, please?
Thank you.

@AlanShay I recommend that They contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the children. When they look up the children, they want to check children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that children are connected to parent with Only the correct BSA member ID number

Bsa#140466665 duplicate member - how to delete account?

@SoniaAsuncion you are not providing enough info for us to understand the problem

Parent with duplicate accounts,
Bsa 140372707 - member ID how to remove duplicate parent.

@SoniaAsuncion I have merged this user’s Scoutbook accounts. From now on, he should log in with his my.Scouting username and password – not his e-mail address.

Please contact the local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up the user’s children. In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should remove him as parent under his secondary BSA member ID number: 140466665. Then they should add him as parent under his primary BSA member ID number: 141139557. This will help prevent future issues.

@SoniaAsuncion I have also merged this user’s Scoutbook accounts.

Please contact the local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up the user’s children. In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should remove her as parent under her secondary BSA member ID number: 140372707. Then they should add her as parent under her primary BSA member ID number: 140472928. This will help prevent future issues.

I would also recommend that this user talk to the local council about their usernames. She has 2 usernames, and they both look like her e-mail address. However, one of them looks like her e-mail address with a typo in it. The local council can also help with that.

Request merge of parent profile MID 14006515, parent is also a registered committee member with MID 14006144 (SB User ID 12120848).

@JamesMayled what log in do they want - the username or the email log in?

maybe you can help, my council merged my numbers
but my scoutbook seems to not want to work right, on top of that I cant work other councils on scoutbook only scouting.org. is there a way to separate my council IDs? I’m okay with 2 logins
they should have separate emails. BSA ID# 116163629 and BSA ID# 10215296. sorry if its a little tricky

@SeanHubbs well there is no merging numbers - go to my.scouting.org and sign in - Click Manage Member ID - from there you can change the Primary Member ID you are using (this identifies you in the BSA Systems) - as long as you have Council B MID set as primary the systems see you as being in Council B

The user would like to have the email as their log in

@SeanHubbs You only have one username (login) at the moment.

If you want, you can create a separate username for council B.

@JamesMayled that is fixed - I recommend that They contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the children. When they look up the children, they want to check children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that children are connected to parent with Only the correct BSA member ID number 14006144

How would I go about doing that? i was under the impression I wasn’t allowed to do that myself

@SeanHubbs If you want, you just go to my.Scouting and create a new account for yourself using the BSA member ID number for council B. You can add the name of council B to the username help keep them straight. Something like (example):

Username2CouncilB

Hi, requesting to merge two accounts of a parent who is now a leader, please!

YPT is on BSA id is 13045116 (to make primary).
Other account to merge is 14684975 (leader).
Thanks!

@DonovanMcNeil Interestingly, I see that the parent still appears twice on the attendees list for events, one with the Leader and Parent tags, and again without any tags. Will the one without any tags go away at some point? Is this the “user relationship” thing you mentioned that our council can resolve? When I looked up the scout’s connection myself in SB it did link to the parent account with the correct MID.

@JamesMayled think that is just a Bug of event holding on to old invitees
