Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
@JillBarr I have merged the user’s Scoutbook accounts.
Please ask your local council to use their Registrar Tools and move her parent / child “Relationships” from her secondary BSA member number to her primary BSA member number.
She also has 2 usernames at my.Scouting. They should be merged.
Basic question: Please advise if this is an appropriate forum to request help with duplicate BSA IDs for a scout. It appears it could be, just wanted to ask, this is my first post on the Forum, learned several useful things already just reading this thread. Thank you all!
Main Issue: We’ve located (1) BSA ID 135150239 and (2) ID 136710347 for the same Life Scout. We believe the first ID pertains to the scout’s Pack membership and (possibly) his initial Scouts BSA membership. We know the second BSA ID pertains to his Scouts BSA membership and is now the only one we can access, and likely the one to be retained if a “merge” of the two is an option.
Background: Life Scout is ready for Eagle Board of Review, yet Scoutbook is generating incomplete History Report and ESRA using ID #2, and the limited information (rank and MB dates) in the IAR is perfect!? Scout’s family is military, he persevered through multiple moves and unit changes, we’re trying to ensure all is synchronized for final ESRA approval. If merge is not possible, should we just manually update BSA ID 136710347 (the latter)?
Thank you again, sincerely appreciate your time and patience! YiS, EGL, Dist. Eagle Coordinator
Good evening again and Wow, this is amazing!! I just generated a complete and accurate History Report and ESRA for the Life Scout in question. Thank you so much, this is awesome response time and results!! YiS, EGL
Duplicate account merger help needed. My scout was dual registered in two councils for a time but now we are just registered in one council. This fall when we transferred councils it created a duplicate account and so now we have 2 accounts (one per council) . The current council account does not show any of my scouts passed history of advancement. Can I get them both merged please.
This year we will be active in Quivira Council but the Quivira Council account is the new bank one.

We have two anew AOL crossovers (twins) and their parent is listed twice in scoutbook. I am unable to check his second profile in IA. It says Logged-in user does not have access to this API. The number I do have is 136137243. Thanks you
@CD32 this is fixed as it needs to be - I recommend that They contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the children. When they look up the children, they want to check children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that children are connected to parent with Only the correct BSA member ID number 12976872
then they can log into my.scouting.org > Click Manage Member ID > one of the BSA # will be there marked PRIMARY > then add the other MID (BSA #) - you want to make the one that is your unit registration PRIMARY > Then go to Scoutbook.com and log in using your my.scouting.org credentials
Yes please, I believe we need the duplicate Scoutbook accounts merged. Sorry, I was only provided the two BSA IDs for the same scout. ID 136710384 should be Primary. Thank you!
