@AllanShort - I do think the message section is inherited but since it is checked then do not worry about that. On the event section were they doing this on a phone ? The functionality is better on a pc or laptop as the view is better.

Seems similar to an issue I’ve been having for the past couple months that hasn’t yet been fixed:

“Your position(s) and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action” on messaging and calendar event menus
