cant run an individual advancement report. Says to post as bug
@DavidHodgson - you should be able to run the ScoutsBSA History Report or the ScoutsBSA Individual Advancement Record
@Stephen_Hornak I am running into the same problem when attempting to run the Scouts BSA Individual Advancement Record
same problem as the people above individual advancement
I’m getting the same issue when trying to go to an scout’s Individual Advancement Report. The error message states:
" Whoops! We encountered an error trying to process your request.
Please go to Scoutbook Bugs - Scouting Forums to report this issue."
We have reported this to the developers.
In the meantime, please use the “Scouts BSA Individual Advancement Record” report (you can change the scale % to make the font size larger on the PDF) or the “Scouts BSA History Report”.
Hello, has anyone been able to resolve this? I’m having the same issue retrieving a report for one of our scouts.
When the issue is resolved, the SUAC will usually post in the Scoutbook/SB+ change logs, and try to capture at least a few of these threads as well. Right now, all we have are the work-arounds that have been noted in this thread and others
Do we have an ETA?
While we can run an Advancement History report from myscouting, our district prefers Scoutbook’s Individual Advancement reports for the Eagle Board of Reviews and it displays the Palm information.
Scouting America IT doesn’t publish their timelines for bug fixes/feature additions, so we generally don’t hear until it’s posted in the change logs.
@KatherineDrahmann - the district requiring this goes against the guide to advancement
@KatherineDrahmann as has been mentioned above, the SBSA Individual Advancement Record (report) is the exact same report as the OLD IAR, just with an updated reporting engine and dynamic vs static layout to more easily account for program changes. I would use this and it should be accepted, as it provides EXACTLY the same information as the IAR.
And if the font is too small, you can change the scale % on the PDF to make it larger.
Still not working 4/12/2025
@DanielHughes2 - please read the post two above yours
I am running into the same problem when attempting to run the Scouts BSA Individual Advancement Record but only for 2 of 10 scouts, same 2 scouts three days in a row I can’t get their report.
@AndreaBarringer - what specifically is the problem
Similar to Andrea’s observation, below IAR report function is working for some scouts but it doesn’t work for some other scouts in our Troop roster. I’m attaching the error message screenshot.
Does anyone know if the scout’s account profile needs to be updated to allow admin users to access that particular scout’s IAR?
Individual Advancement Record
This page lets you generate, save or print the individual advancement record for your Scouts. Choose which type of report you would like, then select one or more Scouts.
@ClayPak - could you try the ScoutsBSA Individual Advancement Record
@Stephen_Hornak - that doesn’t appear to be an option for me. I’m attaching the screenshot from the Report drop down.
