MBC connected to Scout but cannot sign off requirements

I have been assigned a Scout as a Gardening MBC in Scoutbook. When I click on the Scout’s name, I get an error. When I go to Scoutbook Legacy, and select Gardening, there are no Scouts attached.

@NicholasMorris - are you using the merit badge menu in scoutbook.scouting.org?

Yes, I have used both My Connections in scoutbook.scouting.org and get the following error “Whoops! We encountered an error trying to process your request. Please go to https://discussions.scouting.org/c/scoutbook/bugs to report this issue.“

I have also used the “Edit Merit Badges for MB Counselors” in scoutbook.scouting.org

@NicholasMorris - iv you used the efit merit badge menu, selected the merit and it shows no scouts then you are not connected to the scout as a merit badge counselor

As you can see here (Scout’s name scrolled up through), I am connected to the Scout as a Gardening MBC.

I followed the instructions for the MBCs to connect to the Scouts via New MBC Connect Instructions

@NicholasMorris In Scoutbook (legacy), use the “My Merit Badge Counseling” tools, do not go through “My Connections”. You should be able to get to the Scout’s merit badges by going through “Edit Merit Badges for MB Counselors”.

@NicholasMorris - if you are a counselor for multiple merit badges they will be listed and you would click the radio button for gardening to list the scouts to edit requirements

Do I correctly understand that when you go to the Edit Merit Badges for MB Counselors under My Merit Badge Counseling, you are seeing no scouts at all for Gardening? Do you know if you are connected to any other scouts for Gardening MB?

As a related question, have you tried the same process for other merit badges for which you are connected to scouts? I’m trying to see if it’s isolated to an issue related to this specific scout. For example, the scout has not “Started” the MB by having the SM check the “Add signature date” button shown in the screenshot below.

I don’t know if this automatically gets ticked when the MBC initiates the connection or not. I’m wondering if this is causing the issue.

I do not have any other scouts assigned to me for the Gardening MB.

I have not tried the same process of connecting with Scouts before. That being said, this Scout started the Merit Badge with me a few years ago, but we got disconnected in Scoutbook. So, I don’t think the unit leader needed to sign it off, because it was years ago.

Neither Edit Merit Badges for MB Counselor, or My Connections work. I connected to the Scout via the link above (which uses My Connections, and says to click on their name, which give me the above error). You can see in My Connections, that I am connected for that MB.

I understand, and that is the case for the rest of the Scouts connected to me. It is not the case in this instance.
