@PeterHopkins ok that is added to Manage Member ID - you might need to switch Primary once to make a sync happen
@CassandraSmith1 Was this Scout previously registered in National Capital Area Council 082?
Thank you @DonovanMcNeil I changed my Primary ID, and the training doesn’t show up under that one. Perhaps it need to sync overnight.
@PeterHopkins You might need to wait up to 24 hours.
@JenniferOlinger Now I get an error, when I try to go to My Profile or My Account. It allows me to see Manage Member ID adn My Training. But, when I try to go to the other two, it says “Something Went Wrong.” There is a takeMe Back to Camp button that sends me back to the last page I was on and a Report Issue button that appears to do nothing.
The Primary change triggers the sync that can take 24 hours - just remember the Primary Member ID is what Identifies you for BSA IT - so other logins if you changed the Primary MID can be odd or mess things up
From what I can see, three of us still have multiple SB User IDs: me, Child 1, and Child 2.
Also, I’m still not seeing my Committee Member position when I have Colonial Virginia as my primary Member ID.
Do I need to work with someone in real time to have Primary IDs changed in order to merge the SB user IDs?
Scout 1 & 2 are fixed - you cannot merge SB Users - you can change primary in Manage Member ID for yourself - but be aware changing primary and logging into to various BSA systems as the other MID can have unintended issues, as it think it is the other you logging in and so can create new accounts if past accounts have been merged together.
Scout was dropped from council roster during the registration snaffu. Need SB ID merged from 13754682 (new) to 13349791 (original) and all of the scout’s history restored.
@MeaganMead Scout 3 - what is the current Council? TAC? or Tidewater?
@MarcusGray these numbers do not line up - please check again
Tidewater for Child 1, Child 2, and Child 3
Colonial Virginia for Child 4
Something weird….two nights ago we updated the camping information for Child 3 and Child 4 and yesterday the Activity Logs for both of them zeroed out for their camping nights, miles hiked, and service hours. Is there a way to recall that information, or do we have to re-enter it? Thankfully, we have it all written down, but I’d rather not spend hours doing it if I don’t have to!
@MeaganMead OK on Tidewater - the Logs look extensive - those can take time to sync after merges
We’ve got a Parent and MBC with two IDs. 14640550 is the Parent Account and 134477070 is her MBC account. Can they be merged under her Parent ID? Thanks.
@JohnDockstader I have merged this user’s Scoutbook accounts. She will need to log all the way out, then log back in again in order to see any changes.
She is currently opted out of e-mails from Scoutbook. She can opt back in by logging in to Scoutbook (legacy) at:
https://scoutbook.scouting.org
Then she should go to:
Administration → My Account → Email
then switch the “Messaging Opt-Out” toggle to opt back in to e-mails from Scoutbook.
@JohnDockstader She needs to log in with her my.Scouting username (login) and password – not her e-mail address.
Hello, my son created his my.scouting username today. We had an error and logged him out. When we logged back in it gave him a different Member ID than his. When we tried to “manage member ID” it said, “The provided Member ID does not match the existing user profile.” His correct ID is:135017023 it gave him the ID: 141099005. Is there a way to add his correct ID? Thank you.
@JasonMartinez the DOB he entered was different than the Scout Registration - so that needs to be checked - I fixed the user name so it hits his account
Awesome! Thank you so much. I will have his birthdate checked out.
When I log into Scoutboot I see a message stating that there is another user using the same email address. When I click into that message it shows an account that had previously been used when I was a part of my son’s previous Cub Scout Pack. Is there a way to merge the two?
