Merging Two Scoutbook Accounts - NOT BSA Accounts

Ready to check for an issue.

look at top right of page at the Pink Circle L - click it to find the message @LiaWaterman

New Scout transferred in from Chattahoochee. We registered him. A new account appeared, but it is blank of course. I assisted the parent in transferring his original account into our unit. Now he has two accounts, one blank and one with all of his advancements.

I then found information on the transfer tool and successfully ran it, to bring his original account into the unit. But again, Now I have two scouts. Same name, Same DOB, but two accounts, two ID#s.

Do I just give it time for the two accounts to merge? or do I need to do something else?

I still have two accounts. Scout book used to merge them. Now they expect your council to merge them. Our council Has no idea how to do this. We just use the new account and had to manually transfer everything. It’s frustrating and I wish I had a better answer.

@MartyRoberts

Accounts do not merge on their own. If you post the BSA Member ID or User ID from the profile page of each account on your roster a member of the SUAC can fix it.

@AmandaJones

The council has tools to merge the accounts or you can post the User ID from the Edit Profile page of your accounts here and a member of the SUAC can merge them.

Our Registrar says she does not have access to the previous council’s ID# or account, so she can’t do anything. I would love to get these two councils together to share the secrets with FEC.
Previous council: ID# 134418485 User ID 1740451
New council: ID# 137174248 User ID 11715486

@MartyRoberts I think FEC entered DOB wrong - Old Council has 2008 - FEC has 2000 - FEC needs to fix that then all advancements should move

Thank you Donald,

I will call the registrar this morning as soon as I the office opens.

So once that is done, the records should merge? Am I understanding this correctly?

@MartyRoberts hopefully - I cannot recall what all forces a member update sync - watch it over 48 hours to see

Thanks again.

These two accounts have not yet merged. The registrar corrected the birth date, so name & DOB now match.

I removed his original account from the troop, then invited him back in again yesterday. Is there anything else I should try before manually updating the new record?

Problem with manually updating the records is I cannot give him Arrow of Light.

@LilaAylstock the father is connected and has logged in today

He told me apple has this fun thing where his email ends in @mac.com but when you go to reply it changes it to @icloud.com. He wants the account to be kristofer.monson@mac.com but it’s listed as kristofer.monson@icloud.com. maybe you can look up his two accounts with the emails? thank you

@LilaAylstock that is the exact same email address - but it is fixed

I’m an adult leader with two ScoutBook accounts and one member ID#. Only one of the accounts lists my member ID#. I’m only able to log into one of them, but can’t access the other one to change anything or “manage” it. I’m also told I have two my.scouting accounts or profiles, but I’m only able to log into one of them. Need help merging these into just one ScoutBook acct and one my.scouting acct. I can send detailed screenshots via PM.

@BenStone I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green dot with a number 1 > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
