Merit Badge Counselor unable to connect to scouts

Yes, I recently had to redistrict our council so I moved all of our MBC’s out of the old district into their new districts now everyone is calling and telling me that they can’t see or connect with any scouts. I look at their registration and everyone is showing as counselors in their new districts, so is there something that I did that messed this up in Scoutbook Plus? I have already created a ticket to National on this but I wasn’t sure if someone on here could give me some guidance.

@MelissaMoore- the MBC functions are still in legacy scoutbook so it may be a matter of reconnecting the MBC to the scouts. The MBC should verify that by using the MBC menu in legacy scoutbook

@MelissaMoore Alot of MBCs use the wrong process in Legacy - and click My Connections to get to scouts - they need to use the menu Stephen shows to get to scouts.

Donovan, one of the individuals having the issue responded back with the below screenshot and email. Not sure again, if it is something I did when I re-districted everyone. Not sure if you can help assist me again. Thank you.

Thanks for looking into it. I no longer have the my merit badge counseling options on my dashboard at all, so I don’t think that’s the issue. From my end, it looks like I am not in the system as a merit badge counselor at all.

Have you added their merit badges that they council in registrar tools? If so, how long ago?

Yes, they have been a counselor since 2023 to current.

Please provide their member ID. My guess is their original position ended and a new one was created, thus needing new MB assignments.

When were they added as an MBC in the new district? It looks like the old one was ended on Jan 27 or 28.

I have requested an overnight position sync.

Was the entire process of ending the position in one district and creating one in the other done on Jan 27-28? Or partially more recently?

So I mostly expired everyone out of the original district on January 27-28 but I had already moved them into their new district earlier in January. I only wish I knew this was going to cause this kind of issue or I would have just left them and not moved them. Thank you again for all your help. I think I just opened up a whole can of worms.

They are registered in Districts. We used to only have one district, but we just created 3 new districts, so I registered everyone in their new districts, then expired them out of the old or original district. I had created tickets to National on how to do this but

So I just printed a MBC report and I have 9 pages of individuals who do not show any badges on the report. Could that be the issue? The one individual I sent you his name and member ID is one of the individuals who does not show any badges. Should I re-enter all of those badges on the individuals profile? Not really worried I have screwed up everyone’s profile in Scoutbook who is a counselor.
