I have a scout who was at one time multiplied to my troop so he could attend summer camp (kind of provisional camp). This was done in Legacy SB. We removed him from our roster at recharter so he is not listed in SB or SB+. He is active in a different troop. He has 2 MBs awaiting approval in SB+ but I am not his leader so I shouldn’t approve them. How do I remove these records? Note he is not on my roster so I don’t have access to his “advancement” screen.
The Scout is still on your troop’s official roster at my.Scouting, so that is why you see his advancements. Scoutbook Plus looks at the official roster in my.Scouting, not the unofficial one in Scoutbook (legacy).
Ok, so how to fix? It seems possible to transfer him, but I don’t know what troop. Is this a call council fix?
No I Assume the Scout is in Both Units - what is the Member #?

Correct, he is multiple, but he should not be. It was only a temporary work around so he could attend summer camp last year.
Well even that makes no sense - if he was a registered scout he could attend scout no issue as I understand it. Opt the Scout Out of membership

It’s a big organization, we do a lot of things that don’t make sense. But it happened. I guess they didn’t want a scout without leadership in camp?
No option to Opt Out as far as I can see. He is multiple in my troop so I don’t have the option (that I can see).
This Toggle in SB+ Roster? There is one at my.scouting.org also.
From the Scouting America website:
Youth who are not registered in the unit may not accompany parents or siblings in camping programs of Scouts BSA*, Venturing, and Sea Scouting.
He would have required 2 leaders or be in my troop. I didn’t question at the time but it looks like the rule.

Unfortunately I don’t have access to that. He doesn’t show on my roster in SB or SB+. Just the two entries for the MBs earned at summer camp this year.
@ThomasBuckalew - we have had scouts attend summer camp as provisional campers and they get assigned to the provisional unit. No need to have registered that scout
This discussion is moving too far into policy which is not allowed in the forums. Policy questions need to be addressed by each individual’s Council professional staff.

Thank you for the redirect. The information I gave was only to explain the situation, I don’t know why I got called out. Anyway, I have discussed it with support at council, they can get him off the my.scouting roster but are unsure about my problem. May have to live with it.
Once he is no longer on your my.scouting.org he should drop from Scoutbook Plus. You may need to go to Legacy Scoutbook and put an end date on his membership in your troop but wait at least 24 hours after he is no longer on your my.scouting.org roster before doing so.

Yeah I would say end in Legacy as it still comes into play
Just spoke with support he will be off tomorrow if possible. Opt out wont work until march, but she said she could remove him somehow. Ill check early next week. Just to be clear though, I cant end him in SB or SB+, he is not there. Not on my rosters, I’m just getting requests to approve advancement. that is the weird thing. I have no contact info or history nothing except the two entries in the OP.
