Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I received the following message from a Troop parent. I don’t know how to help him. Any advice would be appreciated.
“I tried to log into Scoutbook Plus and I get error message (even after resetting password) that “Failed to fetch user MFA attributes”. I don’t know what to do to access Scoutbook Plus.”
It’s probably easier to have the parent post here, since it’s faster to have direct communications. That said, the SUAC volunteers likely need the Scouting America Member ID for either the parent involved and/or their scout (no names, please!) so that they can start looking into things.
Also, do you know if the user has tried an incognito/private browsing window and/or clearing their cache? It might be some sort of cached data or interaction with another plugin loaded that’s interacting with SB+.
Typically, I’ve directed parents to connect to classic Scoutbook, since most things for troops are still in there (aside from logs and the calendar). Do you know if the parent is able to log in to classic Scoutbook successfully? Have they tried clicking the link from Scoutbook to SB+ in the “Home” screen?
Thanks for sharing this. The problem is posters have to be “verified” before they can post. That requires them to read and comment on an unknown number of posts before they can post. Thats how I end up being the designated poster.
That’s interesting. The rules must have changed somewhat, as it used to be a limit on how many times you could post in a day (I think). It’s been a very long time since I was “new” on the boards. :^)
