Still Log in issues

Stacy,
Are you sending to people within your unit or are you sending a council wide message (you can do that if you are a council admin)

Just sending to my unit. We send a monthly newsletter as a .pdf. Never had problems before.

This is a bug, but we are trying to provide the developers with as much info as possible. Are you attempting to send a single attachment or multiple?

Just single .pdf attachment. We have done this before with .pdf or WORD docs as attachments with no problems.

Understood. I have as well. I just successfully sent a message with a pdf attached by. How large is the file you are sending?

That could be it. 3 MB. We have a new parent volunteer doing the NL and the layout software they are using has had other compatibility issues.

Try sending yourself a smaller pdf to see if that works. I’m not sure what the size limit is.

Right now I can’t even log in. Will try a test later. Also we send last months NL and it was a larger file.

Just tested and could send just to myself plan message and one with attachment. I’ll play round and see about sending to the whole troop.

I seem to be able to log in to Scoutbook now, but I get an error banner that doesn’t say what the error is, and I can’t see my Den or add anything. I’ve cleared the cache and tried to reset my password, but was never actually prompted to reset it. I’m still using the temporary one.

Valerie,

It sounds like you are logging in to Internet Advancement. Are you using the URL Scoutbook You should see the tan Scoutbook background, not a white background.

That is the link I’m using, but I do have a white background. The error banner pops up at the top of the screen for a few minutes, then disappears. I’m guessing it’s supposed to say what is wrong, but it’s blank.

That error is from Internet Advancement.

Try going to https://scoutbook.scouting.org then click Login. There may be something stuck that by going to the landing page will clear up.

I closed the browser and reopened but it’s logging me in automatically. I guess I’ll clear the cache again and try tomorrow. I’ve been logging in for several days with this problem so I don’t think anything is stuck but I have no idea at this point.

Also try clearing your cookies.
