Hello, I am am a den leader and while I can see our Pack roster, all of the scouts, including my own den are greyed out. Our Committee Chair can access all of them and says that I am properly connected. How can I fix this issue?
@ChristineCies- grayed out where? More specific information is needed like what you were trying to do?
After I log into SB+ and select the Pack unit I can see the Roster. Each scout has a small box in from of their names. When I hover over the box a small “No access” circle appears. I cannot select any scout in the troop including those in my own den.
@ChristineCies- what role is selected in the upper right in scoutbook plus
Pack ##
Family
Position: Den Leader
@ChristineCies- all of the scouts are assigned to the proper dens and and you filter by dens in the roster view
Yes, all of their information is correct, and I have it filtered by dens. I get the no access icon above all the scouts in the pack including my Bears. CC confirmed that I am listed as the Bear Denleader
@ChristineCies - you mention in the other thread that you have multiple MID’s. If you go to my.scouting what is your registered position there ? Hopefully the position is on the correct mid. I would also post your mid so that can be checked by someone in the SUAC.
My MID is:
141555799
I am listed as a Den Leader in My.scouting (as well as a committee members and MB Counselor.)
Also thank you for taking the time to look at this!
@ChristineCies - ok. That is good so committee member is on the troop side. I however can not look into the issue but wanted to get some information and hopefully one of the SUAC folks can look into it more. Access denied is a permissions issue for sure. One thought.. are you listed as a Den Admin ?
I will double check about the Den Admin!
@ChristineCies - you can quickly check in scoutbook.scouting.org under my account > my positions
Well, that used to have all of my positions, but now it is fully empty.
@ChristineCies - that would explain the no-access.. Your multiple mid’s may be the root issue. Why the multiple mid’s ?
my.scouting shows all of the positions, as does SB+
@ChristineCies - each mid creates a scoutbook use id
When I moved to the most recent counsel they made a 2nd MID when I applied for MB counselor, previously everything had been under the number I use now. The 2nd MID is listed with counsel as “Do not use”
I have 2 in another council as well, just admin issues, but they cannot delete them for some reason.
MID #2 “do not use”
141205312
@ChristineCies - oh my.. your new council should have used your first mid as the only mid and added the MBC role to it… And each one of those has a scoutbook user id associated with it no doubt. And.. it would be hard for me to do surveying merit badge for your troop ![]()
It has been an interesting ride. I am going to reach out to them about the SB+ issue as well.
