I also have 2 BSA IDs for someone in my unit that I need to merge. Can you do that for me? 135384375 (primary) and 14741381.

@BarryHantman the second MID does not exist. I see the user is also registered in another council so they have 2 MIDs there.

I have no idea what council you’re in, just that you’re part of the " Scoutbook User Advisory Council" on this national BSA forum. That second ID (which you say doesn’t exist) is what’s written on his YPT card (Member Id: 14741381).

@BarryHantman I found 3 BSA member numbers for this Scout:

135384305 - Registration in a Scouts BSA troop in council 330
135384375 - Registration in a Venturing crew in council 330
14741381 - No registrations, but has YPT training

Your local council should put the Scout’s registrations on a single number.

He also has 2 my.scouting user names:

first.last
firstinitiallastnumber

Which username would he like to keep? We can request that the other one be retired.

weird must have copied and pasted wrong - so he went in and made a new account when he did not need to - he has a user name FullFirstName.LastName - that is tied to his Venture position - I can merge the training to that MID

I just want his YPT (that he just took under ID 14741381) to show up under his Venturing Registration number 135384375. If I can get that, I can re-charter the Crew (and then work on getting the individual accounts straightened out later). If you can accomplish that for me, I’ll call it a win! Thanks in advance.

My son has 2 scout book accounts (only 1 BSA number but 2 scout book accounts) 12399165 Which includes his current troop and scout info and 4621062 which has his Cub Scout info can these 2 accounts be merged? He also can not see any of his tank advancement or merit badges

@JCoomes I can merge the Scoutbook userIDs, but the real issue is that your son is not currently registered. His last registration was in a Cub Scout pack with an expiration date of 12/31/2020.

@JCoomes I did try to merge the Scoutbook userIDs. However, individual requirements did not merge, because they were not approved. You might want to print out the requirements and ask for another merge of Scoutbook userIDs.

Ok I will ask council as they show him registered on their end he did switch to scouts in 2020, are you indicating when you attempted to merge his accounts all of his rank advancement and merit badges info was lost or is it still there.

@JCoomes I found a third Scoutbook userID. I have merged the Scoutbook userIDs.

However, you will still need to follow up on your son’s registration with the troop.

Hi, can i get help fixing my Scoutbook accounts. I seem to have two:

BSA Member ID: 137158169 (SB User ID 10261815.) This is the one I use.

And SB user ID: 12728202

I have 2 IDs in the system, both under the same email

14793367 as a Den Leader and 14771303 as a parent (only one of my scouts is showing up so far)

@JasonBackus ok this is fixed - use you my.scouting.org login not your email login - user is is everything before @ of your yahoo email

@MatthewStegman This parent’s Scoutbook accounts have been merged.

The parent’s first name is spelled slightly differently between the BSA member numbers. Your local council might be able to fix that.
